What gear do you start with

I was wondering what gear some of you start in when draggin your buddies, i suppose if you got a sick drag bike then its first gear,, im talking about the stock geared bikes,
I like to pop it in second, i noticed i dont spin the tires for 5 minutes while my competition drives away, some of my freinds also do this. Could this be detrimental to the life of my clutch or motor ??

It is harder on your clutch but no need to worry just change your tranny oil more often to keep the debris out of your tranny.

I always start in 2nd. and try to keep the front end down.
1st does nothing but wheelie.
