| well dont know much about running alky but i would take some emry cloth and clean up the piston. and lightly hone the cylinder b4 u throw it back together. Whats weird is it looks like the intake side is way more skuffed up than the exhaust. isint most of the time the exhaust worse than the intake?

| If I had any other motor I'd agree but with this rare one I have to be efficient. Pistons are custom made. With that said what can happen? Thanks!

| i use to work in a warehouse remanufacturing AC compressor motors. part of all that was refurbishing old used pistons. we had a big ass machine shaped kinda like a big bowl (think its called a vibratory bowl) and it was filled with real small sized steel shot, and the machine would vibrate and the steel shot would clean and polish the pistons. its a pretty common step in a warehouse that has to clean up and refurbish used parts. so if you wanted it done 100% right try to find a local warehouse that might have somthing like that and see if they wouldnt mind throwing your piston in when they do a load. id ask my dad to do it for you but his shop relocated him out of our state so i no longer have access to that machine, along with a sandblaster and welder and paint booth, kinda sucks
