3-in1 exhaust systems

hi folks, there are only a few knowledgeable people in that respect.
is there anyone out there willing to start a discussion on that- how to modify, port timings, dimensions of manifold and pipe!?
I do know a bit, I have seen a bit but nothing in written.

but there are those 3-cyl snowmobiles and watercraft around, so there must be at least someone to know!?

I know on the 750 triples, if you try to make a 3 into 1 pipe the center cylinder will overheat. Not sure if this holds true for all 3 cylinders.
