yea thats what i was thinking about the patches. wouldnt it be just as easy and look better if you just cut sections of the pipe and cut the angles so they fit together?

Yah I had to cut the header pipe and patch it or it would kink when I tried to bend it. The metal I used was only .032" Thick, and I was having trouble with my Mig welder burning through.

Theres a pipe company called Jemco Pipes that has preformed cone sections you can buy & then weld together.
I dont have their number here, but you could do a search & get it. I think they have a site as well.
I hope you do know, a two stroke pipes not just a pipe or exhaust pipe, it has a job to do & needs to be matched up with the cylinder porting. Its all about sizes, lenghts, & numbers.
Any body else want to go into detail on a pipe.

the cone shape has do to with the resonation of sound waves...... any more than that i'm not typing it all.... do a search and find a few pipe threads.. it;s been posted on this site about 5 times.... and everytime it;s a million word answer.. but it's here i promise

LOL,,, yeah, it would take a lot of typing.

What I cant figure out though, is, this site is EveryThingTwoStroke & something as important as the function of a 2 stroke pipe, why theres not a page by itself that contains that information. Not a page to reply on back & forth, but just to read. It should be at the very beginning on here, the first thing you see, but is a pipe the most important thing about a 2 stroke engine.
