exhaust leak

I have an '02 cr80 with a FMF SST pipe and the pipe does not sit perfectly straight on the exhaust manifold. I bought the bike with the pipe on it and I replaced the seal on the manifold. Is there supposed to be anything else (i.e o-rings) to give this a better seal? Does everybody just silicone the snot out of it?? Thanks.

they sell a exhaust wrap that you wrap around the end of the pipe, push it into the cylinder, then mount the pipe all back up. and when the bike gets hot it melts and forms a seal between the pipe and cylinder. i don't know what its called off hand, maybe chamber seal?
