Ive got toomy t5's on my 03 shee and im wondering how often i should replace the packing? I ride quite often, mostly hillclimbs and dunes. anybody help?

Often. I usually do mine ever 10-20 hours of riding. I usually buy packing 4 at a time so I have it. Not having your silencers packed properly is robbing you of HP

Mine havent been replaced in 3 years, how much power doya think it's robin me.
Also i noticed my pipes have some carbon build up inside. how can i clean that out?

maybe 4 hp...the carbon also decreases hp but its hard to get it out

Not sure how much I have never seen a dyno on unpacked and packed silencers. However You will lose lots of throttle responce because of it. Not to mention when there is nothing left for packing in your silencer you could burn a hole in your silencer, however i have only see that once and it was not jetted correctly.

You can use any kind of wire bursh to clean out some of the carbon.

Take a dremel and a wire brush on it and just clean it til its clean thats what I did
