there comes a time and place where you gotta swallow your pride and admit 4 strokes are better for certain things, alot of people have a hard time doing that, the fact that people still build "mx banshees" (oxy moron) is proof of this.
if the thumper is gona make you more competitive and be easier to ride on smaller tracks, DO IT!

i will agree i love them 2 sm0okers are sweet but the450s can out rev its like another gear... the 06 450 will rev to 16500 with a web cam dwell springs and such ,,, ported ...stock stroke and piston.. it wasnt far on the 250 r any more i sold the chasy a year ago.. to build the 450 ... i still have my 01 rm and luv it ... but on a track it isnt even close you ride twice as hard for them to just pull on you in the straights it suck so had to give in ...

horsepower isnt everything...

and 4 strokes make it
tons of torque, smooth tractor power, way more controllable and easy to ride, doesnt matter how much hp the 250r is makin, it doesnt have that smooth power and tractor like torque of a 450
and theres nothin wrong with the 450 chassis, why create all that work and hassle, custom fabrication, when there is nothign wrong with the 450 chassis,. if the 250r chassis was that m uch better im sure somsone would be shoe horning 450 motors into them and racing them at pro level

yeah lol thats why im getting a four poke and have u guys ever seen a full blowen tt race banshee mabey in the 90'sahaha nevr now because its to easy to buy a stoke 450 and race and win like its gay but i havent seen tomany 4 poke that can keep up with me shee on the big tracks

but at this point, 450's are just the way to go
in MX right now.
