Default learning to ride wheelies

It gets a little boring riding back and forth over and over on our land so im thinking of stuff to do that would be fun. so here i am, what about riding a wheelie.

I can pull the front end up(bike has more than enough power no matter what gear) but im still scared shitless about going over backwards. I think in a couple weeks once i really get used to it, ill start trying it. Anybody has some tips. On the same note, i ride on field roads that have grass on it. The rear tire gets lose if i go accelerate through the gears fast. I also have a back habbit of twisting the throttle more as the bike comes up. I guess i should try to hold on with my legs and thighs.

Guys i know this sounds like a newbie post(i think it is) but cut me some slack . I'm sure you quad guys as well as dirtbike riders can wheelie like it's a walk in the park so i figured i'd ask.

edit* found this articale http://www.sportbikes.net/forums/sho...thieghsthieghs ima read it as well

always try to have ur foot on the back break. on my 250 i use the clutch and start right from idle in fifth then top it out. i dunno about a 125.. u have to get it up in the sweet stop where ur not flipping back but its not going down. and keep it there

Cover your rear break. Use your legs to hold yourself on the bike. Try to keep as much weight off your arms as possible. This will help with your throttle control. When you get high enough that you feel like you are going to fall off the back, that is probably where you need to be. Wear a helmet. That should get you started

I started practicing more before my bike broke Sunday. I was learning how to bring the bike up in second gear. I have to kinda use my arms to get the front up cuz the bike's power was too much and gets the real tire loose. I'm getting there. I jush wish the power was more smooth.
