i think hers runs great with 20x10x10 8 paddles. but thats the max i would go on a mild blaster. you want a little wheel spin. 6 paddle haulers would work well too. just stay away from any kind of v-blade design and goofy, obscure, paddles like geckos. they are allmost as bad as a set of dirt tires in the sand.

very true. all other kinds of paddles just dont stack up..... heres the problem, v-blade and even some injection molded straight blade sand tires just dont float for shit. the key to hillclimbs is being able to stay on top of the sand, not dig. kinda like when a boat is up on a plane it takes alot less power to move it forward. same thing with sand tires. if your wasting all your hp digging and not moving forward what have you got....... a shitty sand tire. haulers are just better at floating (especialy 22's).

I have a fmf powercore2 silencer and paddles. My dad is always doin wheelies on his ds(so i always roost him) but if u have any ideas help . thnx.
I have been riding wheelies for about 16 years. Not to brag, but I have only met one other person who is better than me at the wheelie. And I'm talking about dirtbikes and motorcycles . An ATV requires the same stratagies but is easier because you have two wheels holding you up instead of one. Duh!! I have a different technique than most of the replys you received. I don't pop the clutch. There's no control in doing that. First of all, plan out every thing your going to do before you try to do it. Sounds silly, but I've seen lots of people just yanking the front wheel off the ground and getting nowhere. You have to find a suitable spot. It shouldn't have ruts or drastic changes in elevation. Practice where you won't be distracted. You have to find where the sweet spot is in the motor. Let it fall just below that point and crack the throttle. Depending on how much power your quad has, you may have to pull back a little to help it out. You need to practice the cracking of the throttle until you learn the balance point. Always keep your foot on the rear brake in case you go beyond the balance point. A tap on the brake will bring the front end down if you catch it in time. The best place to practice the wheelie is (believe it or not) on a hill. Practice riding wheelies up comfortable hills. I would recommend trying this in 2nd gear because 1st has too much torque. It does take alot of practice. After you start getting the hang of it , you can start thinking about shifting into 3rd. IMPORTANT! Don't rev the engine out hard and try to shift in the air! You will almost definately flip over. Try to shift when the next higher gear will be just below the engines sweet spot. I flipped alot as a boy trying to master it and had a few hard crashes. Don't get discouraged. There are no tricks to riding a wheelie. It's just simply learned. I have read that there are professional MXers that can't ride a wheelie. It will take alot of concentration, determination and practice. Good luck and always wear safety equiptment.

Sit back, give it gas, and pull the handle bars with you, I would use 2nd or 3rd gear. Make sure you learn to use the footbrake, that gives you a lot more control over the quad. I'd say the haulers should run ok.

let the bike do the work.you shouldent have to pull the handle bar to do a wheelie.the bike will do the work for you.if it has enuff h.p.think of it.a cr80 will do a wheelie with me on it and yet i dident have to put my force to the bars and pull it to make it do a cat walk.it was fun but all i had to do was ride and not wipe out.lol
