| Like Baja racing. long distance trail riding. Cross Country, that kind a thing. What do you think you would limit motor size to? |
| ||||||||||||
| I would build a 4mm PV cheetah, thats just my opinion. Not from trinity or CT though. |
| ||||||||||||
| I hear alot of that and I dont know about those companies reputations so I'm fine with going else where but those are the only places I've heard of. Sooo where do I get a 4mm PV cheetah if I don't go to trinity or CT? Also what cc size is a 4mm PV cheetah? Thanks guys it helps to get some opinions before dropping the cash! |
| ||||||||||||
| CC depends on what bore your purchase, I believe they have 68mm, 72mm, a 74.5mm, and new bigger bore. I'm not sure of the 72mm or the new biggest one, Im a Honda guy. The 68mm ones are older but I think you can still get all the older castings. You could do a stock cylinder 4mm but the cheetah would be nice for added CC and the PV's for a solid band. The 4mm crank is a tough bastard too, well proven. I suppose Trinity would be ok if your not looking for the absolute max drag setup, I just dont care for them and dont like to send any business thier way. They are the easiest place to get a cheetah. You could probably PM Calvin Pollet on PS or start a thread and obtain some more information about the Cheetahs and availiability, he makes them. Eviltwin on here might have some more info for you but I dont know, the cheetahs arent sold everywhere the cub is. Last edited by fiveOnick; 05-08-2006 at 03:22 AM. |

| I actually live blocks from trinity ironically but have never used them for anything. Did you have a bad experience cuz for me obviously the convience factor is there but I love my Banshee more than convience so I'll drive somewhere else to get it right. What's up with CT? are they really bad to? |

| yeah nick pretty much summed it up, regardless of what combo you choose you would be best off with some type of 4 mill setup . some of the nice things about the cheetahs is yo u have more cooling capacity ,more transfer and exhaust area ,nikasil liners and a much improved design over OEM jugs,also keep in mind the new 421 cubs are not known for their lowend so that would be a poor option but the oold school cheetahs might be the ticket if you got the money especially the powervalved ones$$ , cubs are much more popular nowadays and availability of the bigger cheetahs wil lbe a a bit harder to find . dont forget the baja suspension ,setup is more important than horsepower
