| Last night, I changed the main needle jet. I pulled off the cylinder head just to look and see. (I have to remove the cylinder to get at the exhaust valve. Its a funky design on the RM's. My '88 YZ250 has a much simpler design.) I'm going to bottle it up with a new gasket and try the jetting changes. But the valves we're pretty dirty. They didnt stick when I actuated them with my hand, but that doesnt say much either. |

| my buddy had this same problem a while back and if i remember right i think it was the needle height |

| hum look for crank case leeks. that will mess up thr power band |
