Default 2 stroke idle?

so today some guy come to look at my 1996 honda cr125 becuase he was interested in buying it and he asked if he could hear it idle and i wasl iek 2 strokes dont idle and he was like yes they do and if it doesnt idle that means you have a scoared piston and you dont have enough back pressure. he is right or am i right some one help me out, and if he is right is there anything i can do to make it idle? would the idle adjustment knob above my choke help some one help me!!!

Yes, it should idle. Try the idle screw

yeah your both kind of wrong. There should be an idle adjustment screw someone on your throttle top. If not just adjust the cables a little bit.

All my 2 strokes idle just fine. Try adjusting your idle screw like mentioned.

lol are you serious? Every internal combustion engine idles, its just a term used to identify the resting point of an engine's rpms when your not applying throttle input.

2 strokes idle. you can adjustidle on your throttle or your idle adjustment on your carb.

Wow technical hehe

how much slack is in your throttle line? and ya turning the idle screw above your choke would help a ton also make sure your running the correct plug.. throwing a new one in wouldn't hurt either..

i forget the plug letters.. but isn't it the second letter symbolises how hot it will run?

like a BR9EG will run hotter than a BR9ES?

its usually the number, BR8ES is hotter than BR9ES

I run 8s, I read somewhere that if you see a lot of carbon build-up on a sparkplug then you should try running a hotter plug.
