| Hey E2S, posting this for a buddy that just rebuilt his Tri-z, he can't get on the board atm. Anywho, he has a couple questions and needs more then just my reassurance Ok Gaskets... I told him when I rebuilt my blaster I used gasket sealer on the intake, reed spacer, and base gasket. I installed the head gasket as is (blaster one is copper) with no sealer. He will be using sealer on the intake and base... He wants to add gasket sealer (copper) to the head gasket, is this necessary and will it hurt anything at all? I said I didn't believe it was necessary and on my gasket package it told me not to use it.... Secondly, he wants to break his bike in and is getting mixed opinions on using a synthetic or "normal" oil to break the bike in. I said to go to crappy tire and run a gas tank of cheapo oil and then switch back to Amsoil. Please post so my friend can get his bike up and running in tip top shape! |

| the head gasket should go on dry. if its a composite gasket, it will stick, or melt to the head and cylinder creating a better seal, when it gets hot. they are made to do that. |
