Wait.. You say its best to learn or three wheels first? Those things are rolling death-traps.. I have a atc250, and I drive like a half-retarded grandma. I learned how to ride on a 50 quad, but within a month I was on a xr50.

.

i knew you would see it my way. . . .

and yeah, 3 wheels, if you can ride a death trap you can ride anything. . . .

retarded grandma? hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

I knew you would agree about cocco-puff-ownage.

Thats an odd way of seeing it. Thats like giving your five year old a 12-guage, and saying if you play nice with it he can get a cap-gun.

And half-retarded grandma.. I coudn't think of anything better..

Only thing a quad has over a bike, terrain wise is riding in snow and icy conditions (not including studded tires), general winter riding on a bike sucks, been there done that. Other then that they are basically identical, and I can ride my blaster on 2 wheels

yo $evy, most def. get a 125 over a 250....unless your like 40 y/o and weigh 250, a

125 is so much easier to start on.... ive had my 125 for a couple years now and im

still getting used to it, it has alot of power, and now my dad finalle deceides to say

"yea you can handle a 250"

but anywayys, a like 2 wheels over 4, and yes i OWN both of them. i can wheely my blaster rite through the gears and so can my buddy, then we did a wheely contest and he had my wheeler up in 5th and i had my bike up in 4th and i was schooling his ass and bikes are more of a rush, although i have to admit tailwhipping my blaster around corners in the winter does get my heart thumpin around. but a wheeler is kind of easier to handle in a wheely because it has to go in a straight line no matter which way you throw your weight. a bike with the front wheel up you have to watch yourself teilting one way or another, but on the other hand, you can sorta steer a dirt bike in a wheely and once you get the front up, if you keep on the gas, its easier to keep your momentum

since we are on this subject, can anyone explain this to me, how come a bike can be so powerful with such a lil motor? for example my yz125 can keep up with my blaster with no problem at all and as far as i know, a 250 will compete with a banshee i just can get that

ea yamahaguy them yz85s are a blast arent they? i drove one and on really loose gravel in about 4th gear, i hammered the throttle and wheelied it for like 50 ft. they are so easy to move around.

keep it up on 1- or two

I've seen and heard more arguements from old assholes on snowmobiles than anything else. They always complain that ALL forms of summer ATV's destroy the trails for snowmobiling. Two VERY important questions I like to pose when I hear that......

#1....How the hell do you think those trails are made and maintained in the summer if not by ATV's? Walkers? Yeah, right.

#2...Consider, it's SNOW!!! Groomed snow! How the hell did an ATV hurt a trail with groomed snow? I don't know about where you live but in Maine it's against the law for an ATV to be on a snowmobile trail once snow has gotten deep enough to be groomed. So, how can an ATV damage the trail? Yet this is a huge debate in this state. Stupid.
well around here in wisconsin, you cant take wheelers on the snowmobile trails untill i think the trails have been open for 10 days, and its under 30 degrees. but i do agree that wheelers do tear up the snowmobile trails alot more than the sleds do, but it all depends on how you drive the wheeler, if your trying to go balls to the walls and are just spinning, thats when you ruin the trails. and thats just what i hate when people do that, and when they ride on the trails when its over 30 degrees, cuz then its like driving in mud for the wheelers, it ruts them all to hell, and then they freeze back down that way. otherwise i dont mind wheelers riding the trails at all, as long as they dont intentionally tear up the trails like iv seen some do.

I mean everywhere.. Not just wisconsin.. I live in the south eastern part of the state.. Theres a KX125 down the road for 800 bucks.. Even if it is a pos, you could make money parting it out on ebay.. Everyhwere people are giving away there 125's for pocket change.. Good time to get into MX if you ask me.

I've seen the aftermath of 4x4 quads trying out dirt bike singletrack in U.P. Michagen..

I am down here in south eastern Wi, and I had no idea you could take quads on the snowmobeil trails.. Every winter we let them make the trails and set up all the posts on our land, and I take a bike out there every once and a while.. Down here, the snowmobeil trails are all getting shut-down.. Its turned into a game of dodging driveways..
