Well, this is a real pain in the ass to mess with, but you already know that. There are a couple ways to "TRY" to fix it that sometimes work. One is to use a soldering gun to melt the plastic around the insert to try to tighten it back up, the other is to heat up a bolt and then thread it into the nut to melt the plastic around the insert back into place. Either method should be practiced on an old tank. The heating the bolt method requires finesse. Have water handy in case you need to cool it down fast to prevent melting the plastic too much. Again, this takes a bit of skill and experience to get right, so use at your own risk. |
