just a jetting questioin. my 88 lt 250r has an fmf pipe n silencer and boyensen reeds im having jetting issues and my buddy seems to be quite knowlegable with wuads he told me to try a 190 main je i was jsut wonderin if this sounds way to lean to u guys?

on the stock carb???

no freaking way I would put a 190 in mine. I run 240 with close to your setup, thinking about going 230

190 hell no! I run a 230 or 240. PTR pipe, reeds, no air box lid, ............

i bought my 89 lt from a buddy who said it had some electric problems, after taking it out i figured out there were wires arcing on the frame fixed that then found it was runnin very lean with a 190 did a few plug chops and now i have a 260 in it, still a lil lean but better and thats with stock pipe, dg silencer and and uni air filter but i keep up with my buddys 03 shee till around 5th

a 240 main is what they come with stock in 88. you would be crazy to run a 190. say goodbuy to your top end. for some reson they changed the jetting on the lt250's allmost every year. have a look at the jetting by year section in this pdf manual.

in 91 they had a 270 and 92 a 260. pilot jet changes were made as well.
