You are missing a number VIN numbers have 17 digits this only has 16 that could be your problem Looks like a 89 to me

that would explain it!

i noticed he missed a number in the vin. but 10 digits from the begining is also the letter that coresponds with the year as is the 8th from the right. but i figured it was harder to mis a number near the end than the first few. but oh well lets see what he comes back with.
