 Hot Start Lever???? hey...i was wondering exactly what a hot start lever was??...i see them as an option with alot of clutches....if anyone knows please share your wisdom...lol      |

 It's for 4 strokes, they build up alot of compression and this releases it. You dont need it.

| I found a guy on Ebay that makes a compression release for 2strokes. I wasn't looking for one I saw it while looking for parts for my KDX450. Just thought it was an interesting idea. It says "Make your 500 kick like a 250". |

| tell me about it when i got my 490 it was bored out to 5 somthing and was hard to start because of carb issues i had to wear my work boots or my foot would hurt for days |

| Yeah, you really have to get a pattern down to start those 500's or it will just make you not wanna ride the thing after your foot is that sore
