Default After market Clutch??..what do u gain

just wondering what all u will gain from putting in a aftermarket clutch with stiffer springs??..BARNETT DIRT DIGGER

the friction plates are made from a different material to resist heat better, they grip harder, and in turn will last longer in most cases also. BIllet clutch baskets and inner hubs are lighter in weight, also resist the heat a little more, and dont get the wear marks in the "fingers" and grooves like stuck stuff does. MUCH more durable. Worth the money if you can afford it.

the stiffer springs give more "clamping power" to the clutch so it holds tighter, but they make the lever harder to pull, which most people can deal with. when the pressure plate can clamp harder you get less slipping, and in turn less heat build up.

well i didn't think it would make anymore but kinda figured it would transfer more. The clutch i have in it is prety bad right now when it hits a sertant RPM it starts to slip so i am gonna put in a new Barnett Dirt Digger Clutch in this week.

Yeah... for the price of OEM replacement clutch parts you're better off spending your money on a good after-market clutch assembly. If you're not planning on building a higher horsepower engine you might want to consider new OEM springs. Heavy duty springs will definitely make the clutch hand wear out fast.

If you're planning on modding the engine a lot then get the heavy springs.

well i am looking into getting Head cut, Race Ported, and Flywheel shaved by Eviltwin and maybe a whole new reed cage assembly.
