Default 250R bore

Hey guys I'm new to in-depth engine work and I needed a little info please. I was looking at big bore kits for a 250R atc and found a 330 kit. I was into 50's for a while and I know the big bore's for those just bolt on..... Are these the same or would I have to take it somewhere to do it? any info would be great!!! Thanks in advance!

Nick

Only the 300 kit can be bored in. The 330 kit gets advertised as such at some sites but it leaves the sleeve so thin that cracking develops very quickly resulting a blown top end and usually bottom as well. An HD sleeve is needed for anything larger than the 5MM over piston. Be wary though as many junk pistons are out there.

So I would have to take the engine to a machine shop and get the cylinder bored first right? Then the kit comes with the sleeve and piston and rings and all that.... It's weisco so they make pretty quality stuff right? So should I go with the 300 kit instead of the 330?
