Default Carb

Alright, my cousin has a sundiro terminator 125 (cheap yamaha breeze knockoff) and i absolutely hate it!!! It isnt ridden hard and everything goes wrong with it. This time its the carb. Its leaking gas(needs new gaskets) and the company doesnt just sell the gaskets they only sell the whole carb which is about $150. So i figured i'd post on here to see if i could save my uncle some money its not even his daughters quad and he pays for everything on it. Any info on this would be appreciated.

P.S. Dont buy any chinese quads like this one. All sundiros and midwest quads suck!!!

can you tell us if its a mikuni, or a keihin, or are they ultra-cheap and put some off brand junk carb on it? if its a mikuni or a keihin, your definitely in the clear with it most likely

oh, by the way, a improperly adjusted or sticking float will cause it to leak gas out of the vents...just a tidbit, you never said exactly where it was leaking from

How about using some RTO? Liquid gasket maker. I think the red stuff is heat and fuel protected. Just my $0.02. You can also buy material to cut your own gasket. Oh yeah, maybe an o-ring could be used if placed just right. I totally agree with dt250rider, check to make sure the fuel is not coming out of the overflow tubing. If so, you've got sticking/improperly adjusted floats.

wow, I cant believe they dont sell gaskets for a carb... Thats crazy what do they expect it to last forever?? anyway I think the other two had good ideas on using gasket maker for your gaskets but make sure its not the float first....

The reason you cant get gaskets for it is because its a cheap chinese quad and the carbs got and auto choke. Its not leaking from the overflow tubing its with the throttle when we took it out and moved the throttle it leaked a shit load of exhaust out of it. We were wondering why it lost a lot of power over the winter and now we found out. The reason we even took out the carb was we were in the middle of the woods my other cousin was on it and it started hesitating like it does when its warming up so we left it in the middle of the woods and waited for my uncle to come they didnt tow it but they rode it back to the house took them about an hour it should have taken 10 minutes normally. I hate this peace of shit quad!!!!

There is a company called sudco in California, they sell any piece you could think of for a lot of carbs that anyone might need. I would check there if I remember right there website is simply www.sudco.com and they are very reasonably priced (I have purchased form them recently and was very impressed).
Or like everyone else has said simply buy a new/used carb for it from ebay that is the same size (such as 34mm).
Good Luck :p

Also Blaster2000, you could consider making your own gasket. It isn't really too hard, use your old one as a pattern, pick up some gasket material (auto place or cycle shop should sell it, comes in a square sheet/roll) and all you do is trace your pattern onto it, cut it out and test it to see if you did it right (just make sure the gasket material can be exposed to gasoline and ask which one to buy, or maybe someone on here knows).
Just a thought

She can barely ride her crappy auto quad she gets stuck in spots i've never gotten stuck and where i thought it was impossible to get stuck. Plus the thing would be going only 10 mph shes so f*cking slow in the trails my other cousin and i jump off rocks and little bumps and we have to wait like 10 minutes for her to catch up
