I dont know to much of the details and stuff to the 2 stroke ending deal cause I've never read much into it, except for little topics like these, cause I really dont care that much about the whole shabang anyway.
but I do think its more about the money than the environment, with both reasons working together. they say 2 strokes pollute too much. yea, they pollute just like any other motor, but I bet ya money that they dont pollute no where near as much as big tractor trailers on the interstate running 24/7 or all the old junky cars on the road that are out of tune and burning engine oil and puttin out blue smoke (like a 2 stroke

) . but you dont see the EPA or whoever pointing fingers at the tractor trailers, cause thats what keeps our country going. and what about all the old out of tune cars, trucks, vans, etc.? they
could let everyone trade their piece of junk vehicles in for brand new stuff with better emmisions, but who the hell is gonna lose millions of dollars in possible profits to do that,? nobody thats who!
2 strokes engines are an old design, but yet they make more power than a same displacement 4 stroke and are simpler in design and maitaince. but I thinks its for those very reasons why they are trying to be put out of production, to make way for the new (and more expensive) fad............

4 strokes . like $evy said, the companys will make more money with the new 4 stroke scene, and money seems to be the hidden key reason behind this. lol and I think its funny how they made a scapegoat out of the tree huggers on this issue, since most of us two stroke guys blame their asses for the whole deal
but on a side note, i dont "hate" 4 strokes at all. I like to ride em just like any two stroke bike or quad. they're just different is all, in fact, If I had to buy a 4 stroke quad, it would be a 400ex, cause they are proven, reliable, and fairly simple in the design, even for a 4 stroke, and just a good all around bike for my type of riding
