Congradulations. I sold my blaster for the shee too. Good deal. I dont have a key, I have a teather, but I took the ground wire of the ignition and put in a "secret switch" that only I know about. It really works good. Some times I forget about it and get pissed when it dont start. Nobodys gonna find that switch.

Well I picked her up tonight and only got to rid a little around the yard and up and down the road. The thing that pisses me of though is that when I looked it over before I bought it, I didn't touch the kicker. The guy I bought it off started the quad for me so I never kicked it over. So I bring it home and kick it over and find it doesn't have much compression. I kind of expected it when the guy told me he never rebuilt it and its a 97, but I'm kicking myself cause I was so stupid not to check it. O well, good time to check the internals and maybe take the cylinders up to Denny. I'll get the picks up towards the end of the week. my bro has the digi at college for a couple of days.

well id put a compression tester on it before you rebuild right away, cuz from what iv heard banshees are pretty easy to kick over, still get the rebuild pretty soon and the porting, but before you break it down right away try it so you can at least ride it some.

She runs pretty good, but it lacks the hard hit right when you hit the throttle, I think because of the compression. I know the compression is low because I can turn it over with my hand, but I will put a tester on it to make sure. I'll be bringing the clyinders up your way as soon as I get some seat time on it and then scrape the money up for a port job.

Forgot to mention I got the usual 2 stroke bashing today as usual whenever banshees and blasters are broughy up. "Man, why would you buy a banshee, they're 2 strokes, dude. 4 strokes have so much more power". Blah blah blah. I guess they're blinded by the need to have the newest and most expensive shit. And, I think they're scared that quads that have cost under $2500 and that are a smaller displacement can kick their ass. I don't even bother talking back. I'll let the shee do the talking for me.

yea get used to it dude. most 4 stroke owners are like your average BMW / mercedes owner.. (mostly 3 series and c class).. they figure theirs is your expensive than yours, so obviously its better/faster.

one of my friends said it perfectly the other day, he rides a 700 raptor, he goes "dude they wouldnt make these expensive/ fuel injected new 4 strokes if they were slower than the 2 strokes" hahahaha
i had to stop myself from laughing . i dont even bother arguing.. we lined up on acces road where its totalyl empty for over a mile straight. more than 1/2 is a decent up hill. all paved. im 20 pounds heavier than him. i ride a basically stock 2003 shee. got it as a leftover brand new, 2 yrs on topend... he rides a brand new 700 raptyor/fuel injection blablabla... well to make a logn story short. he couldnt even catch me up the road up hill. i was in liek 5th gear and he couldnt catch goin up the hill. then we got to the top. i slow down he rides up along side. i pin it.. he is staying right neck and neck with me in my blind spot... and i have no reaason to make this up or lie... but hell still insist his is faster, no winning the argument, most 4 stroke owned are rude dicks, i ride with him, a honda 450, and a yamaha 450, so imagine what i have to put up with... i never hear the end of it
but it all comes down to it,. none of them can pull on me, except my friend on a yfz 450, whos liek 60 pounds lighter then me and he bareley pulls away in a feild lol
