Almost right, but not quite. The Super Bowls are supposed to keep your bike from bogging when going through whoops or rough terrain. Air bubbles can form from your bike bouncing around and bog down when your getting ready to hit a big triple...

I have no idea if they work or not. They definately won't help you with your problem though. Sounds like you have a clogged jet. Pull the choke out a little while it's running and see if that helps.

My 1994 rm sat for over a year when I picked it up, and I got it started this weekend. I only had the information that the original owner had on the bike. I had to get the old gas out of the tank and put some of my 32:1 amsoil premix with 92 octane in it. I had to hit it with starting fluid to get it running. When choked the bike revs to about 7-8000 rpms, but the choke wont stay up. WHen it falls the thing dies. I didnt have time this weekend, but will be taking carb off and cleaning it out. Has uni air filter, pro circuit pipe. Previous owner which was 2nd owner said he never put any reeds in, but ill check it out when I have carb off. Has lots of compression and sounds good when running.
I blew out a fork seal when tieing it down. I bought new seals, and oil. How hard are the seals to replace. Thanks for your help guys.

Ok this weekend I cleaned the carb out and put it back on the bike. The choke and idle screw were pretty dirtyl. Got the choke to stay up, but now here comes the funny part. I start the bike and it revs up to about full throttle I would say, just got the bike so dont know how high these things will go, but I thought it was going to blow. The kill switch wouldnt kill the bike, I shut the choke down and it idled down to about 7-8000 I would say and then the kill switch would kill it. It looked like a little fuel leaked from the bottom of the boot that is in between the engine and the carb, where the reeds go. I was too scared to start it again and do leak test. please help

You have to fix that leak. Extra air is entering and leaning out your air/fuel mixture. You'll blow the engine for sure unless you fix it. You won't be able to adjust the carb until the leak is fixed also. Make sure it's clean and install a new gasket. That should fix it. If not you can add a little gasket sealant. Good luck.
