Default I need traction

I'm having some traction issues with my 250r. I just cant seem to hook up very good. I have just plain ol' 20'' holeshots with quite a bit of tread left on em, but they spin quite a bit, especially when its wet or muddy or very hard pack. my bike also has some brand of aftermarket swingarm, dont know what kind, but I think it may be extended a couple inches, cause its pretty hard to wheelie with it cause its so long. and im also geared 12/36. Im thinking about getting a 13 or 14 tooth front cause im still geared pretty low and I shift through the gears way to quick when I drag.

so im thinking about getting some maxxis i-razors, anybody else here like em for trails and stuff? how good do they hook up? and I was also maybe gonna try some 20-11x9 carlisle trail wolf tires. they have some pretty tall lugs and look like a pretty good tire for trails and mud. they are alittle cheaper than the i-razors. so, what tire should I get?

Why dont you try grooving your set of turf tamers. That used to be the old remedy for traction.

i dont have turf tamers, I have holeshots. and they still have alot of tread on em and I dont want to cut up a good set of tires. I think I may try a taller front sprocket first, cause I think my problem may not be my tires, but that im just getting to much torque to the rear wheels and its just breaking loose.

I think that holeshots pretty much suck for any 2 stroke. My lt250r they sucked. they just spin. I have them on my banshee....you can only imagine.

have the zipper snow tire on my zilla, with 7" ext swingarm. no traction problems at all. just turn the tread backwards. cost around 50 bucks each.

I like razor's. Shreeders are nice for traction too.
