AMA Rule changes for Amateur class, 2 strokes back on the rise?

Well all the crap I hear when I go out riding is that 2 strokes are junk and 4 strokes are the fastest things made..until I smoke them...then they all ask me what kind of bike it is. So I think it would be fun to see cr250 vs crf250 and that way it will shut some of these homos up. It's kind of funny to be the only one with a 2 stroke when i go riding (most of the time) When I crank my bike up people look at me like im riding a space ship..LOL

yea im in the same position , i ride with all 4 strokes, 450;s and raptors 660s and 700s,. im the heaviest on e there and not one quad can pull away from me in the open, even piped honda/yama 450's cannto pull and they will finally admit it after a few races, its fuckin just sad for 4 strokes hahah, not to mention my 2 year old topend, they eat my shit and i love it, cant wait til i can afford a set of pipes, reeds and mayb ea port, then they will be questioning sellin their 4stroke shitboxes when i go flyin by

i run my '00 yz250 against 4 pokes at a track couple hours away.. and i prove it everytime i go there... yeah thumpers have a little advantage with all that low end power, but get a experienced rider and you can still walk away from em.. everyone thinks 4 pokes are better because they put RC, Bubba, Reed and all the other fast rders on 4 pokes... remember when RC was ridin for kawi and i believe early Honda? he was on a 2 stroke and owning the same riders he is now.. his lap times arn't any better.. it's way out of proportion that the winners must have the best bikes.. the winners are the best riders...

Its all about money. And I almost think its kind of like a "fad" thing too. Say some new rider goes and watches a pro class MX race and they see EVERYONE on their 4 strokes, so naturally "I GOTTA HAVE ONE OF THOSE!!!" So off they go to the local dealer and pick up a 6-7000 dollar 450 4-stroke EPA regulated pile of junk (in my opinion). Quad...Bike...same difference in that respect. Its a "win on sunday sell on monday" thing. But on to the topic....keep the classes the way they are...its only fair. =)

i find it funny how pretty soon sno-cross will probably be 4 pokes as well.. yamaha came out with the new phazer and damn if that thing don't fly and it's really light.. i'd have to bet it'll give my IQ a run for it's money if it can find a good rider becaue i belong to the 2 stroke IQ
