Default RM250 into 300ex???

I have and 88 rm 250 and a 95 300ex, my pops and I want to switch out the 300ex motor and put the rm250 one it, the 300ex isnt running so we thought we should try to make another quad using the rm. How do you guys think this might work?

I think it'd be the baddest 300ex around. your gonna have to weld up motor mounts and stuff though, its gonna take some work, but it can be done. You;'ll have to find a place to fit a radiator (or radiators depending on whether you use the rm rads or not).

if you do decide to do it, send us pics. =)

it would be cool but it gonna be alot of work. if you need any help lemme know i;ve never done that swap but i can point you in the right direction. and give you a few tips if you need it. oh yeah the pipe is gonna be tough to get right. or expensive to have done. the 250R plastics your talking about are the 89 plastics with the headlight in the hood. all teh others had them on the bars. well maybe 88 had it in the hood also????? ah hell you gotta lot of work b4 you get to the plastics

Alright back in E2S So far we have been doing pretty well with this project, we got the motormounts on and ready were the motor fits good and now we are working on the radiator mounts/and the swingarm is a little messed up. I have also herd some pretty bad problems about dirtbike motors going into quad frames, they say they vibrate A LOT and causes cracks in the frame and its harder than heck to handle them but they say that is do to the counterbalance of the motor???Iam not really sure what that means???thx
