erik the reason he was thinking of this was because it would have a similiar or higher octane to it than methanol. i think you would probably get a few good runs then the motor might go to shit. i'd look into things that are already set up, maybe ethanol? or were you referring to ethanol? they do run it in vehicles right now just they add like 3% lye if im not mistaken

Methanol's garbage, Ethanol's not much better......run an Alcohol set-up or AV gas if you want to play around w/ fuel........leave the shine for your gut

the part about the sugar ruining a persons motor by gumming it up was actually proven wrong on mythbusters, it says that something about the sugar wont disolve in gas or something like that, the worst thing that would problility happen is plugged fuel filter....they also added that adding bleach to a persons gas tank will do more dammage than sugar.

What do people use in alcohol burners? methanol? I know moonshine would be ethanol - CH3CH2OH, but I think there is a difference in food grade alcohol and fuel alcohol.
