DRI boring

as you can see from my signature, i have an 85' lt with an 86' motor. the guy i bought the 85 from is an idiot and put the top ring in wrong and shredded it on the exhaust port. the damage is not too too bad. i'm planning on rebuilding it and i was wondering what you guys have to say about DRI(duncan racing) boring and honing. they are really the only place that i know of that offers this. there price is 75 bucks. tell me what you think!!!

There are lots of places that can do it just try to find the closest place to save on shipping. Might want to think about a port and polish while you are at it.

I am sure there must be a ATV store in town were you live they can probably find someone local.

75 holy sheep shit cheech thats like double what we pay around here its 40 bucks percylinder,and id definatley be thinking port joband higher compression while you got the cylinder and head off hell theres enough info on the net to do it yourself if your ambitous,but im sure you can get a shop to port it for 250 and get alot more power out of her.ive rode some stroker 86 lts that where pretty damn fast and i know that motor as old as it is ,could hang with todays latest and greatest bikes, good luck

any machine shop can bore that cylinder. don;t go to a dealr they charge big bucks for that. any reg. machine shop will do it for about $30 and it;l take a couple days probably
