| By the way in the woods... its 99% rider ability, I can out ride a 660 raptor on my 300ex in the woods, My tecate has way to much power to open it up in the woods. Its just scarey not fun! The 300ex is lots of fun in the woods but boring as hell anywhere else.

| Well for a shee...if you want drag....then cub motors is a great thing to look at...if it will be trail as well....then a good set of pipes will give you a very nice increase in power and a killer port job will have you eating 450's and shitting them out your exhaust...lol....but there is endless amounts of mods for the shee....just need to no if you want to use it for trails as well or only for drag racing... |

| it doesnt take a WHOLE lot of mods for a 250r to beat the 450s. my mods are in my sig and my R usually out runs a 450 in a drag or is dead even it seems. mine is bored .080 over which puts it at 260cc's, which proves it doesnt take a big bore to be faster than the other guys. this boy we ride with has a red and white yfz450 (not sure what year it is) with a slip-on pipe and jetted and when ever he comes over to ride, its hard to get him to line up with me on our 300ft dirt drag strip. he admits that my R is too fast for him lol. but basicly, all you need for a good running 250r is a good exhaust, porting, 38mm carb, reeds, and raise the compression some and then you should have a motor with pretty good torque and power from down low all the way to the topend. and if you want to make it a good woods bike, than look into some good quality tires, maybe axle and a-arms it you can handle a little wider ride in the trails, and aftermarket suspension if you want
