Works shocks... help!

I picked up a set of used works shock, I have the abilty to charge the shocks with nitrogen myself but I need to know how much they hold and if you add oil to them, if so what kind of oil and how much. If anyone knows what I need to do or can add a link so I can get the info it would help out alot. Thanks guys

Ok so I found some info on a website. I filled them with suzuki 5 weight fork oil and charged them to 250 psi. They seem pretty good now. I won't know for sure until my engine is back together. Everything I have seen says 250psi though. I hope I'm ok here.

i'd normally go 250-280 PSi depending on weight and what you'd be riding on..

compress them several times before your start riding so the nitrogen will completely dicipate into the oil. if you do a pressure check they should read 185-190 after filling them to 250.

So does that mean I'll have to recharge them again to keep them at 250 or should I just leave them alone at that point?

i always charge twice....

you dont have to charge them again. i would go by how good the ride is and how much you weigh, if you charge them once and need a little stiffer ride then charge them again. at works performance they only charge once though.

I have lost quite a bit of weight (new ab work out... it involves a partner with fun bags!) I'm down to almost 180lbs now. But I like sniffer suspension so I'll give it a shot them maybe bump the pressure up a bit if I think it will make the ride better.

Haha. I would rather send you my girlfriend... she's replaceable!
I'll get the T-4 set up eventually, Its gotta be better than last year... Riding on 20 year old shocks flat out sucks! The works should be a great improvement, The rear was rebuilt with Fox internals and rezzy. I may change the rear spring though cause I could bottom it out pretty easy. Word is banshee springs are the same so that makes life easier.
