Gear oil???

i used to use 80w bellray gear saver in my blaster and run automatic transmissoon fluid Type F in my banshee now, its like 1/3 of the price of the 80w, and all the guys on here say they use it seems to work fine, just heard to chnage it a little more often than the 80w
