t5 silencer/stinger seal

it said somethin about puttin some high temp silicone around where the stinger connects to the silencer, i got some 650 degree high temp silicone/ gasket maker, think that should work out?

yes it should be ok i highly dought that an exaust gets that hot expecially at that point in the pipe that goes right where the stringer meets the silencer canister

You'll be fine, that will seal well. It doesn't get that hot in that area. I use regular black rtv, works fine for me.

i use red RTV wherever i need to seal the exhaust.dont know what temp range to stay around though.that should work way back at the silencer though..not possitive.

ok cooo, just by chance thats exactly what i bought, black RTV, 650 degrees, ill seal them all up tomarow, it runs great though, im very pleased

i usualy use the orange high temp stuff but if your jetted right you should be alright with the black stuff...
