went 50:1 today

I just mixed some 50:1 premix using amsoil dominator. I was running 32:1 in both my bikes. After reading so much on here and on the back of the oil container, i went with 50:1. I put about 2 gallons in both bikes because they were about to run out of fuel(shee was on reserve). I went try out the yz125 and it has noticably more power. I have an even harder time getting traction on the field roads but it's nice. It seems to not load up as fast. It could be all in my mind but i dont know.

I cant wait to try the shee out tomarrow.

make sure ya keep an eye on your plugs in the yz i run 40:1 everything else 45:1 or 50:1

ummmm, you did rejet right? changin mixtures that dramaticaly can reak havoc on an engine unless the jetting is changed to suit the fuel/oil mixture.

no, i didnt. it was smoking a ton before and running a tag on the rich side on top end of the rpm range. I'm talking about the yz.

Amsoil is one of the few oils i'll run at 50:1

yes amsoil should be run at 50:1 because its more concentrated , its actually bad to run it at 32:1...
amsoil 50:1 is comparable to 32:1 yamalube, hp2, etc

Youll find that most racing synthetics and semis go with 50:1 and 40:1

I checked my plug on the dirtbike earlyer before riding it again. It looks fine. It had less oil on the plug than when i was runing 32:1. It was far from overheating, actualy not even close according to the clymer.

I went run the shee with the 50:1 today. She ran great and i checked both plugs, same thing as the yz.

Ive never noticed a change in jetting by switching my ratio. it would always look exactely the same 40:1 at 32:1 and when i ran amsoil at 50:1 it would be the same.
