| Yes it would, by about 7 to 10 degrees. Thats a bit much. You'd need to elongate the stator mount holes a bit to the retard to make it even start.

| Hey kane thanks... Let me ask you this how mutch do people advance there timeing usally to run ALKY, Ya think this would put it in the right area? what im tryin to do is advance my timeing to run ALKY with out buying a $500 PVL system.. ya think Im on the right track? or do you think by makeing the slots longer I would be able to get what I would need. the way it sits now you can go from one extream to the other with the stator slots and there's really no diffrence in performance

| The first thing I'd do is degree the crank to zero TDC. Then mark the numbers at begining, mid, and end of the current slot on the stator, then relocate the pick-up to the second mount position and do the same. Once you've done this you'll have a much more precise idea on what you have and as such, what you can do. There's a bit more to maximising performance with alky than just playing with timing numbers. You really need to open that jug right up with some serious portwork.

| Ya I know the jug is at Dynoport right now getting a full drag port job, pulser installed and a bore . Oh by the way this is for my 490 drag bike. I figured on doing that with a degree wheel but was just curious if any one has messed around with doing this with the stator. From what I have gatherd I'm going to need to go further that what the stock stator will allow and hopeing I can get what I need buy just simply making the slots longer,But can only open them so far. Thanks Kane
