New Headlight bulbs are blowing right up...

Hey got my 01 blaster here with a lot of mods to it. I recently got more headlight bulbs for it. I was far away at my old house and on a path at night it blew out after 5 min of riding with it on. I was wondering why this is going on. Is it cuz I have a lot of power in it and the bulb cant handle it? or is it something else that is causing this? Please let me know cuz I dont want to have to ride home in the pich dark again IT SUCKS.

check your voltage regulator! it must be bad. but its no big deal there pretty cheap and easy to replace

or check and make sure no wires got rubbed bare and are shorting out and makin your bulb blow

I agree with DKBRASH, It sounds like a bad voltage regulator. If you can't afford a new one, I'm shure there are a ton of used ones other for next to nothing !
