just buy some good filter oil and follow the directions on the can. Usually they'll tell you to hold the can about 10-12" away from the filter, spray all areas inside and out untill coated, then squeeze it to mae sure its even, then let it sit for a few minutes and reinstall.

auto zone isn't gonna carry somthing like that. Go to a quad dealer, or you can go to www.rockymountainatv.com and order online.

the stuff comes in a spray can, don't just soak it in motor oil

on my dirt bike i had a foam filter. i use to clean and oil it after every ride. to clean get a bucket and fill it with warm water and that grease cutting dish soap (thats what i used and it worked great). let it soak for a little bit and rub it against itself scrubing off all the dirt. my filter would go from black to light pink. i used pj1 foam filter oil. spray it on the outside and inside after the filter is dry and rub it in. this stuff will get real tacky. you must use filter oil, never use anything else. do this and your motor will thank you.

i already washed it. i used dish soap and played with it in the bubbles for a while, then let it soak over night with more soap in the bucket and then played with it again. soooooo... it should be pretty clean
