Can any one tell me how to preload my kick start spring on my 2002 cr 250R

it should be wraped around the starter once before being placed into the hole..

ya, it should go around once, before you put the case on put the kickstarter on the shaft and push the kicker down and make sure its good before you put everyhting back together. putting everything together then finding out you did something wroung is a bitch.

especially when ya have to drain the oil and coolant
