what do you quad guys think of sandrails....

i have been down to the local sand dunes 3 times. with big groups of sandrails/ dune buggies.. i have bought me a lt250r to take down and play in the sand with them....

I was wondering what you guys on the quads think of us guys with the buggies... do you hate us... do you think we are here to just have fun like you guys... or do you think it would be fun to have a buggy some day....

Sandrails seem a lot safer to me then a quad.. unless someone else lands right in ur lap coming over a hill... quads look fun but it ride at ur own risk.... what are your thoughts... just wondering..

rails are cool in my book. except the one that are really nice and the guys dont drive them. that pisses me off. the people that have the all long travel buggies and start them and then drive them around the beach and then put them away. if it is like that then i dont like them but for the most part i think rails are badass and i would like to have one

in silver lake there are like 3 local guys tha have big block chevy powered long travel 4 seater bugies. we got 2 of the guys to jump this dune we were jumping. pretty cool the guy was skying out his $70,000 buggy!!! anyway i love sandrails. i had never been in onwe til my last trip to the dunes but i have always wanted one. when i went on my first ride in a normal buggy (naturally aspirated VW) it was awesome it was s short travel buggy and we were rippign it hard in 2nd through the whoops sideways it was f*cking awesome. then we caught a whoop wrong and went airborne spun the f*cker in teh air and landed in a awesomer spin. the guy was like "sorry bout that" i lookedat him and said "what do you mean sorry that was the coolest f*ckign thing i;ve ever done" anyway i love sand rails and if i ever run across a deal on one (oh i will) i'm gonna buy it. i;d liek a 4 seater though.

haha that is bad ass. rails are awesome. and as soon as i get a job and a little older i will have a rail.

lol i hate them too stupid people with more money to spend then what they know what to do with :| they should just buy all of us $30,000 long travel buggies... hehe

lol that'd be a fun ride banshee :-D .. there are some really high $ long travels down in oklahoma not many but there are a few that go down there. there is a guy that owns a jewelry store in wichita, ks and he makes some nice buggies.... last time i went down he had his little group of 4 buggies.... all prolly 75+ grand... huge motors.. blown and every thing.. the last day we were there.. his son was just driving along and didn't know he was going off the back side of a hill... and bailed off the back of a hill around 60.. put the nose of the buggy in the sand and broke all the a-arms and what not in the front... sent 4 poeple the the hospital.. someone gave the guys daughter a ride in to camp. so my friend rodney and i went over and talked to her untill the ems got there ... she was a sweet girl.. pretty cute too... just broke my heart to hear she was only 14 tho.... damn kids these days...always looking older then what they are.. i'm 18 and i've came to the conclusion that if they look 18, they are 16 and if they look 17 they are 14 and if they look 16... they are prolly only 12 lol

i'd like to just get a little vw sandrail... an okay frame... nothin to fancy.. and then a nice motor... and transaxle....and some nice tires... just the stuff that makes it goo... i'd have the frame painted primer gray and it'd just be a little buggy that u could trash all u wanted ... get a scratch in the paint.. nm.. just bust out the spray paint lol

yea sometimes those ones are the most fun.
