Rotax 650 Chainsaw...

I was watching Toolbox on the history channel a few minutes ago...it was about the history of chainsaws. They showed this one world champion fast logger dude, i forgot his name, but he brought in his chainsaw, and it was the strangest looking thing I've ever seen, BUT it was a rotax 650 Snowmobile engine with a bar and chain on it....haha he said about 50 horsepower, and 50 pounds. all I could think was " I gotsta get me one of these!!!" Damn you could probably cut a car in half with that sucker!

I have seen lots of those types of saws. they are in the outdoor games every year. and the woodsmans games. One of the best in the country is matt bush and he is from about 45 miles from my house. His saw is done by D&D in Lowville NY...

i will try to find that link, but somewhere someone put a small block chevy in a chain saw. it took i think 4 people to use it. it was crazy.

Imagine having that thing. You would have to call up 4 or 5 buddies and say hey guys I got some beer will you come help me use my chain saw. Then you could ride it in the yard when you were done cutting the wood. LMAO

hahaa that would be totally worthless. I have seen where they have taken snowmobile engines and cut them in half and then ported and polished it and custom piped it and tuned it to perfection and had it run in the chain saw competition on the outdoor games. In fact thats how most of em do it I think Matt Bushs saw is like that...
