| Never heard of carbon steel. But the reason for steel braided is so you don't have expansion in the line. Stock rubber lines will expand when ram your brakes which loses power in your brakes. I put them on my banshee and it made a huge difference. It is a must if you want to do endo's

| well the stainless ones probably lok better (not that you'll ever see em) adn tehy don;t get that little surface rust stuff. i'd say that the extra $40 a rotor is not worth it |

| I think the stainless would last longer. And stainless would handle heat a lot better. I don't know if it is worth double the price or not but I know some of those stainless ones look really nice.

| OK thanks....I'll just stick with the cheaper ones then, no sense spending twice as much money, its a brake rotor I'm not too concerned with hoe that looks. Banshee...thanks for the info on the brake lines too.....with that being the case, I might just hold off as long as I can and totally re-do the entire brake system...the rear brakes fade a lot under real heavy abuse like MX, I bet the stainless lines would help take care of that problem.

| Sorry it was late I guess I didn't read the post all the way. The advantage to Stainless Steel Rotor is it will disapate the heat better. This will allow you brake pads to stay cooler and give you better stopping power. Also it will save on pads since they won't get so hot. I have Steel braided lines on everything I ride just makes braking way better.

| All I run are stainless rotors EBC or magnum. They are less prone to warping and run a lot cooler and no rust and pits to wear pads. I only run Galfer lines also O expansion. I can stop almost as fast as i can get going.
