Default problem- rebuilt the carbs, revs really HIGH!

So i rebuilt my carbs and now when I start it, the machine revs high- no idle no half throttle, only full throttle. a buddy of mine had the same problem with his raptor. whats the deal?

slides are probably stuck open ....visually check them and be sure they seat down either that or theres a bad air leak when yo u reassembled them int o the manifolds

thanks for the reply. the slides seem to go up and down fine, to about 1/4 inch from the bottom. should they go all the way down? also, no air leaks found. any other ideas?

i started it just now without even touching the throttle and it did the same thing. it seems almost impossible that it will go all the way to full throttle without the slides even moving. i inspected thoroughly for air leaks and found none. is it possible that theres something wrong with the electrical?

ok i got it to start rolling down my driveway and i can slow down the rpms by braking a little, which is nice. as soon as i pull in the clutch or let off the brakes it revs higher and higher. anyways i had a buddy run behind me and look at the carbs and they are staying shut even during high rpms. when i hit the thottle they go up, as they should. Exactly how far should the slides shut? i can stick a 8mm allen wrench under them now and i think that is too much. how do i adjust this? thanks for the help guys

there's an idle adjusting screw on the carb or if its a shee i believe you adjust them at the TORS...ive only worked on the engines ive never tuned on it. You may have to adjust at the cable too.
