Default Front shocks

I'm looking for shocks on ebay for less than $70 for my 86 lt250r, I think the stock ones are worn. Any suggestions? Stock z400, raptor, banshee?

I'm not sure either, but it looks like about anything will fit? It'd probably change the front height though.

I don't think your going to see Elka's selling for $70. You need to have the same length shock. If you don't it will throw the geometry all off.

I think you can get your shocks rebuilt which would be the cheapest and best way to go. You really don't know the condition of a shock that you buy on ebay so you could be buying a junk shock that needs to be rebuilt.

Hope this helps

yea you dont want to buy something and then have to rebuild it, i would say your best bet would be to get the ones that you have now re-built, or save up and try to get a new pair, elka, works. it is amazing what a new pair of shocks can do for you. hope this helps later

yeah theres a LOT that goes into the geometry of a front suspension setup. too long/short of a shock will throw the camber off and you'll have problems with turning and tracking. if you really have to buy shocks off some other quad, a Z400 would probably be your closest fit, I'm not even 100% sure that they will work right. Lemme check around and I'll get back to you on that. if they dpo work, personally I'd recommend trying to find a set of 05 Z400 shocks, they have rezzies on them. You may just be better off saving up to rebuild what you have, or buy a set of non-rezzy works shocks or something. those can be had for a halfway decent price.

not all year LT shocks fit either. 87 - 92 all fit each other. all preveious years do not fit. the shocks are shorter. in pre 87 LT's
