the small banshee roundslides and tmx dirbike versions arent too bad, but the TM flatslide (found on suzukis and many road bikes) is a total piece of dog shit . heres why *most of this is my opinion keep in mind *)

they are too interchangable and adjustable for anything other than a stockish setup.too many parts to clog and wear out or most importantly get out of tune and get out of whack . basiclly too much bullshit that can go wrong or replace and the genuine miknui must be used $ .

they are flatslides ,while this isnt a terrible design really but it is like having rabbit ears taped on your plasma big screen tv .its as old as the hills and doesnt work so hot for small displacement engines, causes a rush of unwanted air turbulence.

the slide and body are just shitty poorly designed soft aluminum and wear out very quickly causing erratic jetting and free rev side to side front to back movement is bad . ever wonder why it runs great one day and like total ass the next ride ?

for some odd reason o nthe way its produced when the bowl gets low on fuel the engine sucks air in and the rpm spikes and raises dangerously high which is really bad and hard on a 2 stroke

the choke is a big cumbersome handle ,the bowl has no bottom nut for easy main and pilot changes (like keihin has ) instead it requires you to remove completly and use 4 shitty soft philips screws(2 screws on top too) (instead of a easy to spin giant knurled nut that can be done by hand *like keihin!)...

the carb bodies themselves are huge and i n the way especially on a twin carb setup like a banshee needs . the throttle cable coming i nfor mthe top is poorly designed ndoesnt seal out air, dirt or water good enough and can easily kink the incoming cable .

the parts are pricey and not easy to get form you local shop must og through sudco or proflo ..the carbs themselves are kind of expensive, might as well get a good carb like a keihin or lectron instead of carbs designed during the Carter administration (thats the 70's for you young bucks ) .

if yo u have anything other than a stockish machine your so screwed cause theres like 5 people i n the united states who know how to jet them and one of them was jimmy hoffa

lol....

i just snagged a keihin pwk the other day from ebay...cant wait till it gets here to give it a go. everything about the stocker is annoying as shit thus far - i had it apart once and it was pretty much the most **** erotic experience of my atv riding life - aside from that video with the 2 guys on the dirtbike....

ill give you my take on it after i get the keihin jetted up and all. note theres no "if" like there would be if i was referring to jetting the stocker.
