Default I really need your opinion

Hi I am going to start racing but i need somthing faster then my current near stock 2004 YZ125. I cannot decide between selling both of my bikes and buying a 2007 RM-Z250 or selling one of my bikes (a 2007 Terra moto pro) and doing up the YZ. If i did up the YZ I would get an FMF Factory Fatty, FMF Titanium 2 silencer, V-Force 3 reed block, iCat ignition boost, a new piston kit and I would get the bike dyno tuned and get the jetting adjusted for the new parts.
So do you think a 2004 YZ125 with all those parts and tuning could easily keep up with a stock or close to stock 06/07 250F?
Thanks

well i take it your set on the lites class? IMO the 125 will keep up with the 250F's if your a good rider, also the matinence costs will be less with the 125 i the long run. personally the PC Works with the R304 shorty would be a better combo for the track.. more mid-top

Ok thanks for the advice man, I think i will go with the works pipe and R304 shorty I looked at em on the website and it said the R304 shorty was used by pretty much every PC rider on the podiums.

It's the rider, not the bike that wins races. Just keep the 125 and get better at riding it. I hear that icat stuff is a joke too.

It is now legal to use a 144 kit in racing. That's what I would suggest doing. From what I've read, It's the best thing you could do to a 125. www.eric-gorr.com

really? i didn't know they allowed the 144 kit? but i guess i don't pay much attention to the 125 class.. that would be the fist thing i would do if your district allows it....

Never mind guys the KTM dealership offered me a 2007 125SX for $7,500 australian dollars, for those of you who dont know i live down under. $7,500 is about $1,500 off the retail price down here.
Thanks for all your help though, I really appreciate it
