| hey erik I went 1 up in my front but kept my back stock 40 if I went 1 up in front and 3 up in back wouldn't that be like the same as stock? cuz it wouldn't add anything to either. 1 up = -3 in back but if you go +3 in back that is the same then.

| blaster king - im not sure, i guess if that equation is right then it shoudl work like that? but instead of going up 1 in the front, and up 3 in the back, why not just go to stock gearing? and power junkie=- u have to compare it to something.. what do u mean more speed and less axxeleration, compared to what? stock/ very simple, with stock gearing in mind... every tooth added to the front sprocket will make you have more speed with less acceleration, and every tooth taken away from the front will add more acceleration less speed and vise versa......... every tooth added to the rear will add more acceleration, and less speed, every tooth taken away from the rear will add more speed less acceleration... and for every tooth up in the front is it the same as taking 3 off the rear and vise versa... this is like the same thing i said before i think.. |

| thanks much so the right combo for the dunes would be 13 in the front and maybe a 45 in the rear or pretty much guess and check

| that would be a bit extreme... going down one in the front AND up 4(over stock) in the back, would be a huge chnage and i dont know how great it would be... if you are trying to compensate for the tooth you took off your front, then you should be going down in the back too, by going down on front and UP in back, you are taking away all your speed, get it? |
