vitos 240.... before and after

heres what the clowns at vito perofrmance expect everyone to run for their big bore cylinder ,sub exhaust ports are tiny , angles and shapes of transfers all wrong ...full of casting flaws worse than stock. small transfer area uneven gaps and voids .. a real shame because this jug has really good potential just a really crude layout and casting , heres a couple shots of stock one

Sup denny! This is tyler i added you on myspace. yeah i know what you mean. i've got one just like that, and next rebuild prob after this summer i'm gonna want to have mine done. looks so much better after porting. my jug is so crude, i can't imagine what it will perform like after its ported. i was wondering if i ported it, will i be alright with my 34mm and fmf phatty pipe? or would i see better gains with a more of a top end set up. right now i love the snap its got from low to mid, even tops not too bad. i wouldn't mind more through all areas though.

Tyler the 34mm carb and really even your pipe would work fine , especially for low to midrange ,dont bet me wrong ,theres better choices for carbs and pipes but youd definitly get big gains , the vitos 240 cylinder is made in mass production in communist China where the average empoyee makes 30 cents an hour ,they dont care if theres big casting flash nuggets in the transfer ports and 1/8 of an inch of mismatch throughout the jug .surprisingly enough the ones ive seen of this cylinder have casting flaws much worse than stock very restrictive and crude .theres a huge amount of untapped power laying in these things IMO.

Denny, that 240 jug up on top. What kind of port job is it? I don't know to much about porting but i see they have levels or degrees? i was thinking like a dune/ trail port on mine. is that different from the one on top? thanks tyler

the guy thats porting mine took one look at it and laughed. He couldn't believe all the junk that was left behind and the edges left on the ports. Anyone that gets a vitos needs to get it ported to unlock the true potential of the cylinder
