Angry ahh dammit!

well i was workin on my R this evenin taking out the reed spacer that I was trying out the other day but didnt like how it ran. putin the air box and intake all back together to take a quick rip down the field before it got dark. well I let it warm up for a lill bit and zipped around the pond to clear it up and took off wot down the field beside the house to whind it out. and it was runnin like a friggin top to, pull the front end up in 3rd gear. well I got to the end of the field and on the way back I was haulin in 5th gear pinned when all of a sudden it just goes BLUUUHHHHHHHH and dies on me like half way back to the house. im thinkin its a fuckin fouled plug. but it started up easy first kick, but as soon as I touched the gas it would bog and die. it would rev up higher with the choke on and I had to ease it back to the shop. it would idle high enough to chug along but I couldnt touch the throttle or it would die. checked the plug and it was just fine, not fouled or anything. even tried a brand new plug and it didnt change anything.

and then it hit me..............sucked a damn reed petal in the motor again . I remember last time it did it that it acted exactly like this. im 99.9 % sure that this is whats wrong with it. gonna look at it tomorrow evenin after work.

well Im glad I left myself a tenth of a percent, I found my problem and fixed it and it wasnt my reeds. when I took my carb top off and pulled the slide out, I noticed the needle was missing! I looked in the carb throat and there it was. apparently the little tiny c-clip that holds the needle in the slide had broke and it let the needle fall down in place. and I guess thats why it wouldnt rev up is cause it wasnt getting any fuel and only air. I used the clip from the needle in my stock carb. problem solved lol
