Default Anyone ever dyno test a 250?

I rode along with a couple buddies last weekend to dyno test their 450's... Afterwards I asked the dyno operator about dyno testing my 3-wheeler and he seemed to think something I said was funny... He told me that 250 2-stroke atvs typically only pull low 30's for rwhp... If thats true I dont even want to let my buddies see my bike on a dyno....

Whats done to the 3 wheeler? if its stock then 30 hp seems acturate, got the potential of some pretty high #'s. anywhere from stock 30hp all the way up to (in some cases) high 50's or low 60's.

a stock 250 based quad would probably struggle to break 30 rwhp on an accurate dynometer but a ported big bore alky 250 could hit 55-60+ rwhp though ... which a 450 four stroke would have a very hard time ever acheiving (and stil l hold together reliably anyways)

not trying to start an argument here, but a bone stock ltr has 48hp, and with a dasa powercommander, dasa pipe, no airbox lid, a high comp piston, running race gas, makes about 55, and obviously it can be brought up much higher than that with some real motor work, and still not go over 450, i think Joe Byrds DASA 450rs were putting out something crazy like 70hp out of a 450cc motor, but those motors only would last one race

Read your last statement. Denny is talking about wheel hp not crank. How much did all that shit cost for that 4 poke. Plus you forgot cams, valves, valve springs.........2 grand plus per rebuild, fuck that.
