| what did you use to heat the case? My manual says not to take a direct flame to the case because it would ruin the hardining. |

| what if i used a propane torch instead of butane. would it be any hotter. Btw thanx for the help, i have been trying to get them out for a while. |

| You'll be alright with a propane torch too. Just run it in a circle around the case where it holds the bearing. Don't stay in one spot. FWIW this method is the way LOTS of people do it so I think you will be OK.
